Golf Course Maintenance
Birkdale Golf Club has an employment opportunity and is looking to hire a part time golf course maintenance staff member, who under the direction of the Director of Agronomy and Assistant Superintendent will perform routine manual labor involved in agronomy. This includes operating powered maintenance equipment such as tractors and mowing equipment and does related work. The Part time shift is Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday beginning at sunrise and working until 3:00 PM.
Skills, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment used in daily golf course maintenance (mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, etc.)
- Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs as directed
- Perform general landscape maintenance such as raking bunkers, edging, trimming, and debris cleanup
- Assist with irrigation and drainage system maintenance as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant
- Fertilization and daily course upkeep as needed
- Safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of members and staff while on the course
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
Work Schedule:
The Part time shift is Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday beginning at sunrise and working until 3:00 PM.
