UPDATE as of 11-10-23 (9:00AM) | One of Charlotte’s best golf courses, Birkdale Golf Club is now OPEN FOR PLAY as of November 9, 2023.
The temporary closure for a master planned development project resulted in clubhouse renovations, beautiful new sand in all green side bunkers and the complete redesign and Hole #9 into an exciting Par 3.
New Layout on Hole #9. Birkdale’s new Hole #9 is a beautiful par 3 utilizing the original teeing locations for the previous par 4. There have been additional tee locations set across the creek access. The gently sloping green is protected by both a bunker on the right and a newly exposed creek on the left.
Golfers will find the new hole both challenging and visually pleasing as they finish the hole on their way to the back nine.
